Reynolds Consulting Engineers was hired to commission all of the building systems for the renovations and expansion of the Squirrel Hill branch of the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh. The project included expanded collections, a new teen area, a business center and a larger children’s area.
In addition, an elevator was added to the Forbes Avenue entrance, a glass enclosed entrance from the parking garage, drive-up book drop and self-check areas for customers.
The project is attempting to earn a certification from the U.S. Green Building Council’s LEED program.
